Arias adds new IP director in Costa Rica

Arias Law has announced the welcome of Cynthia Wo-Ching (pictured) as the new head of the IP practice in Costa Rica.

Cynthia Wo-Ching is a long-time ally of Arias, having been part of its Costa Rica team at the beginning of her career.

She started her practice at the Industrial Property Registry of Costa Rica, and continued to develop in other law firms in the country. She has given lectures on intellectual property to small and medium-sized companies, advising them on the importance of adequately protecting their rights and trademarks. She is an active member of the Costa Rican Bar Association and the International Bar Association (IBA).

María Laura Torres will work with Cynthia to assist clients in their important matters.  María Laura joined the firm in 2022 with a focus on patent, utility model and industrial design practice, and also provides support in trademark and other Intellectual Property matters.
