Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega instructed on Panama aircraft sale-leaseback deal

Panamanian law firm Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega advised SMBC Aviation Capital on the sale-leaseback of three Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft to Copa Airlines, Panama’s flag carrier.

 

Under the terms of the transaction, SMBC purchased the aircrafts and leased them to Copa.

The Arias, Fabrega & Fabrega team advising SMBC was led by partner Roy Durling. SMBC was also advised on the deal by Clifford Chance’s New York office.

Copa instructed Galindo, Arias & López in Panama and Greenberg Traurig in Miami.

SMBC Aviation Capital is a global aircraft leasing company headquartered in Ireland.
