ARIFA partner elected to Lex Mundi executive committee
Ricardo Arango, a partner at Panamanian firm Arias Fabrega & Fabrega (ARIFA) has been elected to international law firm association Lex Mundi’s executive committee.
Arango (pictured) will be joined on the committee by Michiel Pannekoek of Dutch firm Houthoff, along with Angie Castille of US law firm Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath, Christoph Lang of Pestalozzi (Switzerland), Tom Miller of Michael, Best & Friedrich (US), Ben Haglund of Day Pitney (US) and Helena Samaha, Lex Mundi’s president.
Lex Mundi also named a new chair, Michelle Liberman, a partner at Israeli law firm S. Horowitz & Co, and who has served on Lex Mundi’s board of directors since 2017.
Arango (pictured) joined ARIFA in 1987 and became a partner in 1995 and is a co-managing partner and a member of the firm’s executive committee, and head of the firm’s capital markets and banking practice and M&A practice.
Widely recognised as one of Panama’s preeminent capital markets experts, he has also been commended for his leading role in many of the largest and most complex financial and M&A deals in Panama and the Central America region.
