Baker MacKenzie Mexico promotes three partners

Baker McKenzie has reinforced International Trade, Banking and Labour practices

Baker McKenzie, the world’s leading law firm, officialised three new national partners in Mexico, as of 1 January 2021. They are Jorge Ambriz Cuevas (pictured left) from the International Trade and Customs practice group; Alfonso Martinez Bejarano (pictured centre) from the Banking and Financial practice group; and Gabriel Ortiz Aguilar (pictured right) from the Labour practice.

In this regard, Baker Mackenzie Mexico managing partner Raymundo Enríquez mentioned: “The effort, dedication and dedication that our collaborators print to their outstanding work every day puts on high the name of our firm” at the same time that he congratulated those promoted.

Jorge Ambriz Cuevas has developed his professional career in the International Trade and Customs practice group in the Ciudad Juárez office. He has more than 18 years of experience advising public and private organisations in customs matters and complex tariff litigation processes, as well as alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Alfonso Martinez Bejarano focuses his practice on Fintech issues, Regulatory compliance and Real Estate financing. He is responsible for the Baker McKenzie team responsible for preparing and filing applications for authorisation before the National Banking and Securities Commission for e-wallet institutions, crowdfunding institutions and novel models (sandboxes) under the Fintech Act.

Gabriel Ortiz Aguilar has developed his career in the Labour area, where he regularly advises his clients on matters arising from commercial and corporate transactions. His practice focuses on labour and social security laws and advising on anti-discrimination laws, executive compensation and pension plans.
