Baker McKenzie advises PSP on Colombia real estate deal
Baker McKenzie advised US-based private equity firm PSP in its follow-on investment in Fondo de Capital Privado Fondo Inmobiliario Colombia, a real estate-focused fund managed by Fiduciaria Bancolombia, the trust fund operated by the South American country’s largest private bank.
The investment totals around $140m and the deal included the negotiation of certain corporate governance provisions regarding the fund with the manager and other significant investors, including Bancolombia and Suramericana, and which were advised by Flores Villegas.
Baker McKenzie’s team was led by Ricardo Trejos on the private equity side, while Daniel Botero assisted with foreign exchange matters and Ciro Meza led the tax advice, assisted by Laura Durán.
