Baker McKenzie has named Gustavo Boruchowicz as the new head of the Global Executive Committee for Latin America
Baker McKenzie has announced its new Global Executive Committee members, appointing Gustavo Boruchowicz, M&A partner and managing partner of Baker McKenzie Argentina, as the new head of Latin America. In addition, Kirsty Wilson, london-based partner at the firm and chair of the Global Reorganisations Group, joins both the firm’s Executive Committee and EMEA Regional Council.
Both will assume their roles at Baker McKenzie’s annual meeting in October, replacing Jaime Trujillo and Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort respectively, who will complete their four-year terms.
Milton Cheng, Global Chair of Baker McKenzie, stated: “In Kirsty and Gustavo, we have two outstanding leaders with a strong track record of successfully leading large teams, and collaborating across multiple jurisdictions and various practices. I am looking forward to the perspectives they will bring to our Executive Committee discussions, as we drive our strategy forward. […] I’d also like to thank Constanze and Jaime on behalf of the entire Firm for their leadership, hard work and invaluable contributions to the EC throughout their terms, including recognizing Jaime’s time as interim Global Chair, and their tireless efforts over the past year and a half as we have navigated the pandemic.”
Gustavo Boruchowicz holds a law degree from the University of Buenos Aires. He specialises mainly in the areas of mergers & acquisitions and private equity, as well as in advising on real estate and commercial law. In addition, he is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires.
