Lawyers Cassio Assis Barreto (pictured left), former partner of Advocacia Cunha Ferraz, Leandro Lamussi Campos (pictured middle) and Thaíssa Nunes de Lemos Silva (pictured right), former partners of Balera Berbel & Mitne Advogados, have joined forces to found a new law firm with offices in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Acting in the Real Estate, Corporate, Labor and Social Security areas, with consulting and litigation activities, they have opened Barreto, Lamussi, Nunes Advogados.

Cassio Barreto, who holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from IBMEC-SP, specialization in Real Estate Law from UniSecovi and has approximately 20 years of education, states that the decision to leave the former firm was taken very calmly. Barreto has worked at GMW Advogados, as a junior lawyer; Benicio Advogados Associados, as a full lawyer; and Tubino Veloso Advogados, as a senior lawyer.

Leandro Lamussi holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of Londrina, a master’s degree in Social Security Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), and has worked as a junior, full, and senior lawyer at Bichara Advogados from 2011 to 2017.

Thaíssa Nunes de Lemos Silva graduated from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and has an MBA in business management in accounting and taxation from the same institution. She is a post-graduate student in Tax Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ) and specializes in Social Security Law at the Latin American Institute. Thaíssa worked as a trainee, junior and full lawyer at Bichara Advogados between 2012 and 2017.
