Basham advises on Sumitomo’s acquisition of Bio Insumos Nativa
Basham Ringe y Correa was one of the legal advisors to Sumitomo Corporation, in Mexico, in the transaction with Nativa Investment to complete the acquisition of the remaining 49% of Bio Insumos Nativa.
As a result, the Mexican subsidiary Bio Insumos Nativa Mexico (BIN Mexico) underwent a due diligence and corporate restructuring process to finalise Sumitomo’s full control over BIN Mexico and its Mexican operation.
Through this transaction, Sumitomo, a Japanese full-service marketing and services company, continues to consolidate its portfolio of biological products for sustainable agriculture in Mexico. This has been developed by Bio Insumos Nativa through its subsidiary BIN Mexico.
Claro & Cia acted as advisor to Summit Agro South America in Chile.
