Basham, Ringe y Correa names new partners and counsel

Mexican law firm Basham, Ringe y Correa has promoted four lawyers to partner, strengthening its tax, intellectual property, banking and finance and litigation practices, and added four counsel. 

Francisco Matus of BashamThe new partners are Francisco Matus, in the tax practice, Eduardo Castañeda in IP, Pedro Said in banking and finance and José Massas in litigation and controversy solution.

“The promotion of these partners reflects Basham’s continuing commitment to the development of lawyers that have achieved the highest levels of professional achievement and are dedicated to protecting the interests of our clients and the firm’s institutional values,” partner and member of the law firm’s executive committee Juan José López de Silanes said.

Francisco Matus (pictured) has been at the firm for more than 10 years, while Eduardo Castañeda has been with the firm for more than 18 years. Pedro Said has been with the firm for six years, and José Massas for 13. 

The firm’s new counsel are Fernanda Garza, in the anti-trust and monopolies practice, Rodolfo Barreda in administrative law and compliance, and Guillermo Aldana and Mauricio Peña, of the firm’s litigation practice.

Basham, Ringe y Correa has offices in Mexico City, Monterrey, Querétaro and León, with a total of 30 partners, 112 associates, four advisers and 4 counsel.
