Batalla promotes new partner
Batalla & Asociados has appointed Marvin Carvajal as partner
Prominent Costa Rican law firm Batalla announced the promotion of the renowned attorney Marvin Carvajal as new partner.
With 23 years of experience in litigation and human rights, Carvajal’s appointment is the result of his outstanding career providing advice in the public and private sectors. Continuing with a long tradition of university professors at the firm, the new partner also works as a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Costa Rica, where he also served as vice dean.
Prior to joining the firm as Senior Counsel in 2019, Carvajal served as legal director of the Presidency of the Republic of Costa Rica where, among other achievements, he carried out successful negotiation processes with business chambers, unions, and non-governmental organizations.
Carvajal had also been director of the Judicial Training Center for Central America and the Caribbean, director of the Costa Rican School of Jurists and founding member of the Ibero-American Data Protection Network, among others.
