B&E represents Volta in obtaining green credit lines
Barros & Errázuriz has represented Volta, part of the Southern Cross Group, in obtaining two green credit lines from Scotiabank.
The funds will be used for the development of green projects, specifically to accelerate circular economy investments for industrial and household waste in central and southern Chile.
The consultancy involved the elaboration of the green credit contracts, the negotiation of their main clauses and the constitution of guarantees associated with the credit.
Thanks to this operation, Volta will continue its development in processes and technologies that transform waste into new resources, such as biogas, energy sources, water for irrigation and improved soil substrates. In this way, the company is contributing to combating climate change and reducing its carbon footprint.
B&E’s team was composed of partner Enrique Barros Vial (pictured), senior associate Juan Ignacio Galdámez Riquelme, and associate Borja Bernasconi Muñoz.
