Beccar Varela promotes three new partners

Beccar Varela has promoted three senior associates Carolina Serra, Gustavo Papeschi and Pedro Silvestri as new partners

 

With these new additions, the structure of Beccar Varela is made up of 41 partners.

Carolina Serra (pictured left) joined the firm in October 2005. She focuses her practice on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions and banking & finance. She has ample expertise advising both national and international companies on complex corporate law issues and on mergers and acquisitions. Over the past years, she has also counselled on complex financial transactions, including advice in syndicated loans and to the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Carolina has participated in the structuring and day-to-day advice in many of the trusts held by Fideicomisos y Mandatos S.A., a trust services company owned by our firm which acts as trustee/escrow agent in transactions where clients require those services. Carolina obtained her Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2006). She conducted postgraduate studies in Law and Economics at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and Arizona State University (2010). She worked as a foreign associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP (New York, USA, 2016-2017).

Gustavo Papeschi (pictured centre) joined the firm in 2007. He specializes in Corporate law, Banking and Finance, Anti-Corruption and Compliance. He also has extensive experience advising on distribution and franchising agreements, and on private international law matters. He obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Belgrano (first in class Academic Merit Recognition, 2006), and obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law (Dallas, Texas, USA, 2013). He worked as a foreign associate at Haynes and Boone, LLP (Dallas, Texas, 2013) and at Holland and Knight, LLP (Miami, Florida, 2014).

Pedro Silvestri (pictured right) joined the firm in 2010. Pedro’s practice focuses on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including public and private company transactions, joint ventures, cross-border transactions, minority investments, shareholder activism, financial advisory matters, and general corporate matters. He represents a wide range of clients including corporations, private equity sponsors, and investment banks. He also has significant experience representing clients in connection with capital markets, both issuer- and underwriter-side, domestic and international, investment grade and non-investment grade, in public and private offerings.
