BLP and Pacheco Coto instructed on Peninsula Papagayo sale in Costa Rica

BLP advised Gencom on the acquisition of the Peninsula Papagayo development. Pacheco Coto acted for the sellers, The Marvin M. Schwan Charitable Foundation.

The Peninsula Papagayo project is a 1,400-acre luxury master development in the North Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It includes 24 kms of coastline formed by 31 independent beaches which are home to the Four Seasons Hotel, an Arnold Palmer golf course, a 180 slip marina, the 38,000 square foot Prieta Beach Club and a select collection of luxury residences. The Four Seasons Papagayo is the only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Resort in Central and South America.

Gencom is a U.S.-based international luxury hospitality and residential real estate investment and development firm.

Partner Luis Castro led the BLP team advising Gencom. The sellers instructed a team at Pacheco Coto led by partner Alejandro Antillon.

Stearns Weaver and Berger Singerman acted as US counsel, respectively, to Gencom and the Schwan Foundation.
