BMA Advogados has a new partner

Barbosa Müssnich e Aragão has announced the arrival of Bernardo Weaver as a partner in the areas of Corporate Criminal Law and Compliance, Investigations and Sanctions Law

The new partner of BMA Advogados, Bernardo Weaver will work in the areas of Corporate Criminal Law and Compliance, Investigations and Sanctions Law. Bernardo has extensive experience advising individuals and international organizations in various jurisdictions in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Part of his practice focuses on preventing, negotiating and litigating criminal and compliance matters before national and international authorities.

Bernando Weaver holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. Before joining the BMA, Bernardo was a research assistant to Professor Philip Heymann (Deputy Attorney General – USA), Executive Secretary of the IDB Sanctions Committee in Washington DC and Compliance Officer in Frankfurt, Germany. In a joint mission with DOJ and SEC, he trained MPF and CGU in techniques for investigation of transnational corruption.
