Bofill Mir adds Andreas Pierotic as of counsel
Bofill Mir Abogados has announced the incorporation of Andreas Pierotic (pictured), who has a 20-year career related to China, as of counsel specialising in commercial and legal matters for Asia. His profile highlights his negotiating experience with Asian governments and companies, as well as his fluency and command of Mandarin Chinese.
The new of counsel highlighted: “The challenges related to new energies for electromobility and energy storage, technology transfer, and Asian investment in all those sectors that can add value and knowledge to the country, are some of the issues in which I hope to contribute to the capabilities and projects that Bofill Mir is promoting”.
“With the arrival of Andreas, we want to take a strategic look and enhance the development of our firm with respect to the Asian market, where we have long-standing relationships with clients in China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia,” said partner Octavio Bofill.
Andreas began his collaboration with the firm in September from abroad and now settled in Chile – after more than nine years outside the country – Bofill Mir makes the official announcement of his incorporation.
Pierotic lived 14 years in Beijing, China, is a lawyer from the University of Chile and obtained his MBA degree from China Europe International Business School, Shanghai (CEIBS).
His career includes his position as Economic and Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Chile in China (2014 – 2019), period in which the boom of Chinese investments in Chile began, and as legal advisor for Asia and Oceania of the General Directorate of International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005 – 2009). Currently, he is a senior consultant on economic and commercial affairs for companies and organisations with a presence in Latin America and Asia.
