Bofill Mir appoints three new partners

Bofill Mir Abogados has announced the promotion of Feliciano Tomarelli and Alina Bendersky, from the corporate and mining and natural resources practices, respectively, as well as the incorporation of Francisco Ducci, in the mining and natural resources area, as new partners of the firm, effective 1 April.

While Alina and Francisco will support the work of Pablo Mir, lead partner of the Mining and Natural Resources practice, Feliciano will strengthen the corporate practice led by Octavio Bofill, Ana María Yuri and Rodrigo Saffirio.

Feliciano Tomarelli (pictured left) holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and an LL.M. from Columbia University. He is admitted as an attorney in the State of New York and was an international associate at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. His promotion responds to the appreciation of his strong negotiation and execution skills in some of the most complex and sophisticated transactions advised by BM, as well as his academic background, including his undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the Universidad de los Andes, among others.

Alina Bendersky (pictured centre) is a lawyer from the University of Chile and holds an LL.M. in Environmental and Energy Law and Policy from Georgetown University. She started her career in the team led by Pablo Mir. Among others, her appointment comes from her ability and leadership in complex transactions, technical management of the mining industry, international advisory experience and a deep understanding of the culture and business dynamics of the natural resources industry.

Francisco Ducci (pictured right) holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an LL.M. from Columbia University. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an international associate in the corporate and Latin America practice of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York. His appointment is based on his skills and track record, both in Chile and abroad, and his experience in project development, project finance and foreign investment matters, which, together with his recognised transactional skills, will enhance the firm’s mining and natural resources practice.

With these appointments, Bofill Mir now has a total of 12 partners.
