Bofill Mir represents Mitsui in creation of joint company with Kal Tire
Bofill Mir Abogados has represented Mitsui & Co. in the due diligence process and subsequent transaction documents for the creation of a joint venture company with Kal Tire, an international leader in the service and supply of mining tyres based in Canada.
This transaction began in September 2021 and closed on 2 March 2023, following Kal Tire’s establishment of an end-of-life thermal conversion recycling facility for ultra-class mining tyres in Antofagasta, Chile, the only one of its kind in operation.
The firm’s advice involved an exhaustive due diligence process covering corporate, mining, labour, tax, environmental and compliance issues; advice on different strategies for structuring the transaction; and review of the transaction documents.
