Bomchil acts on Metrogas debt refinancing
Bomchil has acted as advisor to Banco BMA and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) in the granting of a syndicated loan to Metrogas for up to $11,571 million to repay interest maturities on existing local and foreign loans.
The loan will be granted in two tranches, one of which is secured by a first-priority pledge on certain collection rights arising from the provision of natural gas distribution services. The collateral agent is TMF Trust Company (Argentina).
The loan and use of funds is part of Metrogas’ international debt refinancing process. The transaction involved, among other matters, the amendment to the existing syndicated loans granted to Metrogas by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Argentina) and Banco BMA and to the bilateral loans granted by these entities to Metrogas.
In-house counsel participating in the transaction were Pablo Ernesto Anderson and Damián Díaz for Metrogas; Fernando Forni and Sebastián Videla for BMA; Tomás Koch and Sonia Lanutti for ICBC; Tomás Bruno and Leonardo Pirolo for TMF.
Bomchil’s team consisted of partners Fermín Caride (pictured left) and María Victoria Tuculet (pictured right), and associate Yazmín Sophie Tek.
