Brazil’s CBLM Advogados launches
CBLM Advogados, a law firm focusing on tax issues, has launched in São Paulo
The firm was founded by lawyers Eloisa de Almeida Rego Barros Curi and Luciano Burti Maldonado (pictured left and right, respectively), and Thais Fontoura Lipinski and Claudia Liguori Affonso Maluf (pictured below).
The four partners have extensive experience in tax matters, and the new firm is dedicated to both tax consultancy and litigation, aimed at mitigating its clients’ tax risks and maximising their economic gains.
The firm assists its clients from inspection procedures to the conclusion of tax proceedings. CBLM Advogados also provides legal advice involving issues of tax routine, organization and effective business reorganization, as well as wealth planning.
Among CBLM Advogados’ clients are families, entrepreneurs, investors and companies, from startups to multinationals, the firm said.
Among recent highlights of CBLM’s work is the largest individual income tax case before Brazil’s Administrative Council for Tax Appeals, related to the taxation of the revenues resulting from the international merger of airline companies.
“The firm was born from the desire to serve its customers in a differentiated and accessible way, reinforcing the service we have always offered,” the founding partners said.
According to Eloisa Curi, “our work is based on understanding the real need of our clients and helping them to design and implement, safely, the best strategy for solving their questions, always acting with the highest technical quality, in a fair, transparent and close-up way”.
Prior to founding the firm, the four partners worked together at Demarest Advogados for more than 10 years.
