Brazil’s MRV retains Holland & Knight for AHS Residential investment
Holland & Knight is advising the parties involved in Brazilian real estate developer MRV Engenharia E Participacoes’ $200 million investment to acquire a 50-per cent stake in Miami-based real estate company AHS Residential.
AHS Residential develops, builds and manages multi-family community complexes and has, since its founding in 2002, delivered seven rental communities throughout Florida, servicing over 3,000 low to middle-income residents, with several new developments currently under construction.
Bovespa-listed MRV has more than 22,000 employees and a presence in more than 158 Brazilian cities. MRV’s investment in AHS will allow the company to expand its operations throughout the United States.
The Holland & Knight team advising MRV and AHS was led by New York-based partner Peter Baumgaertner (pictured) and included partners Arman Kuyumjian, Mark Stone and Tara Vance, and associates Anush Yegyazarian, Samantha Peruto and Christopher Marotta.
