Brazilian firms advise on EMS acquisition of Fresenius business
Madrona Fialho advised EMS, the largest pharmaceutical laboratory in Brazil and leader of the national sector, on the acquisition of the portfolio, R&D and manufacturing operations located in Anápolis (GO) of the German multinational Fresenius Kabi, one of the largest hospital suppliers of injectable medicines in the world, which was advised by Mattos Filho together with Hogan Lovells.
The logistics operation in Goiânia (GO) is also part of the negotiation. The conclusion of the Transaction depends on the approval of competent regulatory agencies, including Brazilian antitrust authority (CADE).
