Brazilian firms on co-investment between Votorantim and Temasek

Cleary Gottlieb, Debevoise&Plimpton, Pinheiro Neto, Lefosse and Stocche Forbes advised Votorantim and Temasek on the structuring of a strategic partnership with Temasek in order to launch a BRL 3.6 billion investment vehicle focused on growth capital sectors in Brazil.

The transaction included the formation of a partnership called 23S Capital between Votorantim and the Temasek investment team in Brazil, led by Matheus Villares.

Votorantim is one of the largest investment holding companies in Latin America, holding stakes in businesses across various economic sectors, including building materials, financial services, renewable energy, metals & mining, real estate, infrastructure, and agriculture. Temasek is a global investment company headquartered in Singapore, with a net portfolio value of US$297 billion.
