Bregunci Advocacia is a new boutique in Minas Gerais

Belo Horizonte is home to a new law firm specializing in public and regulatory law: Bregunci Advocacia. Founded by Thiago Bregunci (pictured), a lawyer with 20 years’ experience in the public sector and in renowned law firms in Minas Gerais, the firm focuses on Compliance, Civil Law, Projects, Infrastructure and Regulatory Law, as well as dispute prevention and internal controls.

Working in partnership with law firms and consultancies in various states of the country, the firm’s clients include legal entities and individuals from all over the country, especially those operating in the infrastructure and regulated sectors, such as companies, business associations and institutes.

With a special focus on the areas of litigation and administrative and regulatory consultancy in his almost two decades of work and extensive experience in the government of Minas Gerais, Thiago was a Supervisory Board Member of the Minas Gerais Development Bank (BDMG), Board Member of Minas Gerais Administration and Services (MGS) and Deputy Secretary General of the Governor’s Office of the State Government of Minas Gerais. During this period, among other duties, he coordinated numerous internal control assessment projects.

He also has a solid academic background. He holds a degree in Law and a Master’s in Public Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUCMinas), an Executive MBA from the Dom Cabral Foundation and executive education courses from the Harvard Kennedy School, entitled “Leaders in Development: Managing Change in a dynamic World”, and “Mediating Disputes” from Harvard Law School. He taught Administrative Law at the Newton Paiva University Center.
