Bruchou advises Banco Galicia on $30m biomass plant loan
Argentinian law firm Bruchou, Fernández Madero & Lombardi advised Banco Galicia on a $30 million loan to Grupo Insud for the construction of a 40-megawatt biomass plant in Corrientes province.
The loan was procured through the issuance of a green bond in March 2018 with the International Finance Corporation.
The biomass plant will generate electricity from timber residue and supply electricity to the national grid.
The project was awarded as part of the RenovAr renewable energy tenders.
Bruchou’s partner Analía R. Battaglia led the team advising the bank, accompanied by associates Paula Mariel Ferreira, Sofía Gallo, Lucía Vidaña and Facundo Sainato.
