Bruchou and Allende & Brea advise on acquisition and sale of Masisa
Bruchou & Funes de Rioja and Allende & Brea have advised Central Puerto (CEPU) and Masisa, respectively, on the acquisition of Masisa Argentina and Forestal Argentina by Proener, a subsidiary of CEPU.
The transaction includes the acquisition of 72,000 hectares of forestry properties in the provinces of Entre Ríos and Corrientes for US$ 69,364,162.
CEPU, a public company listed on Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos (BYMA) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is one of Argentina’s leading power generators.
Masisa, a public company listed on the Chilean Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is one of Latin America’s leading producers of wood-based panels.
José Manuel Pazos and María Justina Richards acted as in-house counsels to CEPU; while Patricio Reyes acted as in-house counsel to Masisa.
