Bruchou names new partners and consultants

Bruchou & Funes de Rioja has announced the appointment of Lucila Tagliaferro, as a partner specialising in Corporate Labour Law and Nicolás Dulce, as a partner specialising in Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Energy, as well as Andrea Callegari, as an expert consultant in the Customs and Foreign Trade Department, and Pablo Crimer as an expert consultant and head of the Environmental Law Department.

These appointments took effect as of 1 April.

Lucila (pictured left) has more than 30 years of experience in labour law, having joined the firm in 2007. She also has extensive experience in structuring contracts, as well as handling complex transactions including start-ups, negotiation and restructuring of labour forces, advising on M&A transactions, due diligence and audits, among others, both locally and internationally. As of this appointment, Lucila, in addition to continuing with her aforementioned labour practice, will be in charge of the firm’s Compensation, Benefits and Social Security sector.

Nicolás (pictured centre, left) joined the firm in 2013. He specialises in corporate law, with extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and general corporate advice (including large listed corporations). As part of his transactional background, Nicolás has more than ten years of specialisation in complex matters in the energy sector (both oil and gas and electric power), accompanying the firm’s main clients in this sector. Between 2018 and 2019, he worked as an international associate in the M&A department of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP (New York), and in 2020 he obtained an LL.M. from Stanford University (California), specialising in Corporate Governance and Practice.

Andrea (pictured centre, right) has been with Bruchou since 2015, specialising in complex customs advice and litigation. She has more than 17 years of experience in the design and planning of foreign trade transactions in the most diverse industries (energy, mining, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, fruit, among others). In recent years, she has excelled in foreign exchange advice in relation to customs operational problems, and the control regime of import payments and/or export collections. Between 2009 and 2011 she completed a Master’s Degree in Tax Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina, and in 2013 she completed a postgraduate course in Customs Law at the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Pablo (pictured right) has more than 17 years of experience advising companies on environmental law matters, being part of the firm since 2015, and leads the Environmental Law practice, as well as the firm’s ESG Platform for Climate Action and Sustainable Business. He has outstanding experience in a wide range of environmental law matters (from environmental liability analysis and prevention, audits, to complex project development). He handles environmental matters in administrative and judicial proceedings. He specialises in environmental issues related to complex businesses (joint ventures, M&As, project finance, etc.). He also develops compliance programmes and in-house training. In 2010 he obtained an LL.M. from Columbia University. He has been a lecturer in his speciality at the Universidad de San Andrés (undergraduate and master’s degree) since 2014.
