BSVV promotes Pilar González as partner
Barros Silva Varela & Vigil has announced the promotion of Pilar González (pictured) as a new partner to lead the firm’s Tax practice, who joined BSVV in 2020 and, with this appointment, becomes the firm’s youngest partner at the age of 34.
Pilar has a law degree from the University of Chile, an LLM in Tax Law from Queen Mary University of London and a Diploma in Tax Reform from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, as well as more than 13 years of experience in the field.
She is currently a professor of Tax Law at the Department of Economic Law of the Law School of the University of Chile. She is also an assistant professor of Tax Law for undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Law School of the University of Chile, a member of the Tax Law Institute of the Chilean Bar Association, where she was appointed member of the Board of Directors of Expert Lawyers, and a Young Arbitrator of the Arbitration and Mediation Centre (CAM) of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), among others.
With this appointment, a little more than 10 years after its foundation, BSVV has 10 partners and 40 associates.
