BU and Marval act in Allianz X investment round
Brigard Urrutia and Marval O’Farrell Mairal have advised Allianz X, in Colombia and Argentina, respectively, in connection with its participation in a USD 300 million Series E investment round conducted by Ualá, the Latin American neobank founded in Argentina, with subsidiaries in Colombia and Mexico.
Allianz X was the lead investor in the investment round, which brought Ualá to a post-investment valuation of USD 2.75 billion.
The investment constitutes one of the largest rounds of growth capital financing in Latin America in recent years, as well as Allianz X’s first investment in the region.
BU’s team was led by partners Sergio Michelsen (pictured top left) and Fernando Castillo (pictured top right), together with lawyers Angela Garcia, Andrea Camila Cruz, Natalia Castiblanco and Manuela Rivas.
Marval’s team included partners Pablo Viñals Blake (pictured bottom left) and Diego Chighizola (pictured bottom right) and associate Delfina Majdalani.
