Bumachar Advogados Associados announced Hyana Bittencourt and Thiago Carapetcov as new partners

Bumachar Advogados Associados has promoted two of its professionals to partners: Hayna Bittencourt (pictured left) and Thiago Carapetcov (pictured right) have joined the firm alongside Juliana Bumachar, Vitor Hugo Erlich Varella, Felipe Côrrea and Renato Scardoa.

Working at the firm since 2018, Hayna has extensive experience in the civil area (Strategic and Advisory Litigation), including judicial recovery of large companies. She holds a post-graduate degree in Civil Procedural Law from Escola da Magistratura do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ), is a member of the Turnaround Management Association of Brazil – TMA Brasil, and has a specialization in the New Civil Procedure Code from PUC-RJ. The new partner coordinates the firm’s teams of trainees, junior and full time lawyers, besides leading negotiations with banks and major creditors and working in the development of strategies for the financial restructuring of companies.

Carapetcov has been with Bumachar since 2021, assisting the teams in highly technical demands, participating in complex negotiations, and acting as a legal operator. The new partner is a researcher, with a master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from PUC-RJ and a post-graduate degree in Corporate Law and Capital Markets from FGV Direito Rio. He has almost 15 years of experience as a professor in post-graduation courses at renowned institutions such as FGV, PUC, Ibmec, and UERJ. He is a professor at the Rio School of Magistrates (EMERJ), at the Foundation School of the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FESUDEPERJ), and at the Foundation School of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FEMPERJ).
