BVZ announces new partner and boosts its practice
BVZ Advogados announced in the end of 2023, the promotion of the lawyer Lygia Dias Ferreira (pictured) to its partnership. She is graduated in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais with postgraduate degree in Business Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV-SP). Lygia will keep solidifying her strong expertise in litigation and arbitration related to merger and acquisition (M&A) contracts, corporate litigation, commercial contracts, and other corporate and governance relationships.
The rise of the first female partner also represents an advancement in the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, following the global trend of increasing female presence in leadership positions in the legal market. This is also the first promotion of an associate from within the firm to the partnership.
Lygia Dias Ferreira has been a lawyer at BVZ Advogados since 2019. Previously, she gained experience in other law firms and in the courts of the judiciary.
