Carey acts on $145 loan to Caja Los Andes
Carey has acted as advisor to Caja de Compensación de Asignación Familiar Los Andes (Caja Los Andes), a family allowance compensation fund established in Chile, on a credit facility provided by a syndicate of banks, with Banco Santander-Chile as administrative agent, for up to USD $145 million.
The funds will be used to finance or refinance operations associated with Caja Los Andes’ social credit scheme.
This transaction closed on 27 November and involved the Chilean and US (New York) jurisdictions. Linklaters also advised Caja Los Andes, while Cuatrecasas and Milbank acted as local and international counsel to the lenders, respectively.
Andrés Medina and Natalia Núñez acted as in-house counsels to Caja Los Andes.
