Carey acts on Emerson’s acquisition of Flexim
Carey has acted as advisor to Emerson, a US technology and software company, on the local aspects of the acquisition of Flexim, a clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement company for liquids, gases and steam, along with the subsequent acquisition of a minority stake in its Chilean subsidiary,
The acquisition, which was completed on 31 August, expands Emerson’s automation portfolio and measurement capabilities.
The advisory work ranged from legal due diligence to the negotiation of the relevant closing documents, involving interaction with legal teams from multiple jurisdictions (USA, Germany, China, Singapore, Chile, France, Austria, Netherlands, Japan, India and Australia), coordinated by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
