Carey advised Eletrans on private offering

Eletrans retained Carey as Chilean counsel on a $180 million private offering. 

Eletrans is a Chilean electric power transmission company. It was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.

The transaction consisted of an international private offering of notes under rule 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, targeted to institutional investors, at an interest rate of 4.06% and due 2037.

Partner Felipe Moro led the Carey team advising Eletrans. It is understood that the company instructed Latham & Watkins as US counsel.

The private investors were advised by Claro in Chile and Milbank in the US.
