Carey advised lenders on solar plant financing in Chile

Carey advised the Chilean lenders on three separate credit lines to finance solar plants developed by companies which are part of Grenergy.

Grenergy Renovables is a Spanish independent energy company founded in 2007. The company designs, develops and executes renewable energy plants on a large scale. In Chile, it owns several projects including the small distributed generation facilities developed by GR Tiaca, GR Boldo and GR Espino, all part of Grenergy.

Banco Security, Compañía de Seguros de Vida Consorcio Nacional de Seguros and CN Life, Compañía de Seguros de Vida were the lenders providing finance to these solar plants.

Partners Felipe Moro and Juan Pablo Stitchkin led the Carey team advising the lenders, which also retained Garrigues for Spanish law.
