Carey advises on Chilean financing transfer, start-up investment
Carey advised Chile’s Banco Security and two local insurance companies on the transfer of granted financings to GR Laurel and GR Litre following their sale to IEH Solar Chile, a subsidiary of InterEnergy Holdings.
The two insurance companies to which Carey acted as counsel are Compañía de Seguros de Vida Consorcio Nacional de Seguros, and CN Life Compañía de Seguros de Vida.
Carey’s partner Felipe Moro and associates Diego Lasagna, Fernando Noriega and José Luis Enberg acted as advisors, while PPU’s partner Federico Grebe and associate Gabriel Valdes acted as counsel to the debtor.
Also in Chile, Carey advised Manutara Ventures on its $500,000 investment in local cyber-security solutions start-up Camel Technologies, which serves retail, industrial and government clients in Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and the US.
Carey partner Francisco Guzmán and associates Carlos Alcalde, Benjamín García and Benjamín Saa advised on the investment, while Camel Technologies was advised by Alster Legal.
