Carey appoints four new partners
Carey y Cía. has named Alejandra Daroch, José Tomas Hurley, Jaime Carey A. and José Pardo as new partners
Chilean law firm Carey y Cía. has appointed Alejandra Daroch, José Tomas Hurley, Jaime Carey A. and José Pardo as new partners of the firm.
Alejandra Daroch (pictured top left) holds a law degree from the Universidad de Chile, a programme in Mergers and Acquisitions at UC Berkeley Extension California and a Diploma in Tax Analysis and Planning at the Universidad Católica. She is a member of the Board of Experts of the Chilean Bar Association. At Carey she is part of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Banking and Finance, and Capital Markets teams.
José Tomas Hurley (pictured top right) is a lawyer from Universidad Católica and holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from the University of Sydney. Prior to joining Carey, he worked as a foreign associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney, Australia. He is part of the Energy team and focuses his practice on the development of energy projects.
Jaime Carey A. (pictured bottom left) graduated with distinction from Universidad Católica and holds an LL.M. from Columbia University. He previously worked as a foreign associate in New York at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. At the firm he is a member of the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions teams, disciplines in which he focuses his practice as well as Commercial Law, Capital Markets, International Trade and public works bidding processes.
Finally, José Pardo (pictured bottom right), lawyer from the University of Chile, holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago. He was a foreign associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Brussels, Belgium. He currently focuses his practice on Antitrust, Regulation, Administrative and Constitutional Law and Litigation, as well as being part of the firm’s Antitrust and Regulated Markets groups.
