Carey assists CMPC in investment in Strong By Form
Carey has assisted CMPC Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of CMPC, in the closing and conversion of its previous investment in Woodflow Technologies-Strong By Form.
This transaction closed on 29 May for approximately USD $5.9 million (€5.5 million) and involved the jurisdictions of Chile and Spain. Cuatrecasas acted as Spanish counsel to CMPC, while Aninat Abogados and Metricson acted as counsel to Strong by Form.
Strong By Form is a start-up focused on the development of wood-based biocomposites for lightweight and high-performance applications through its innovative Woodflow technology, offering a viable and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional structural materials such as concrete and steel.
Benjamín Concha acted as in-house consultant for CMPC.
Cuatrecasas’ team included partner Diana Rivera and associates Amador Rodríguez Martín de la Fuente and Pablo del Moral.
Aninat’s team comprised partner María Eugenia Sabbagh and associate Consuelo Tarud.
