Carey assists CMPC in Modvion investment
Carey has assisted CMPC Ventures in an investment in Modvion AB, a Swedish company active in the research, development and worldwide sale of engineered wood and composite materials for the construction and energy sectors.
The transaction was closed on 31 May, for approximately USD $6.8 million (€6.4 million), with Lextruct and Tabet Advogados acting as advisors to Modvion.
With this transaction, CMPC seeks to develop and invest in industrial expansion opportunities with disruptive technologies in the fields of bioindustry and circular economy.
Banjamin Concha acted as in-house counsel to CMPC.
Lextruct’s team was represented by partner Caroline Pamp.
Carey’s team was led by partner Francisco Guzmán (pictured), with support from associates Sebastián Melero, Crescente Bernales and Antonia Ananías.
