Carey assists in $635m financing to Gloria
Carey has assisted a syndicate of banks in a financing granted to Grupo Gloria for the acquisition of Soprole.
This transaction was closed on 29 March for approximately USD $635 million, and involved the jurisdictions of the United States, Peru and Chile.
Other participating firms were Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom as international advisor to the banks, and Claro & Cía. and Milbank as advisors to Gloria in Chile and the United States, respectively.
Arturo Pallete Fossa and Fernando Devoto Acha acted as in-house lawyers for Gloria.
Skadden’s team consisted of partner Alejandro González Lazzeri, counsel Nicolás Pérez Sierra, and law clerk José Pablo Buenfil.
Milbank’s team comprised partner Marcel Mottesi, associate Gonzalo Guitart, and attorney Fernanda Jara.
Claro’s team included partner Felipe Larraín, counsel Phillipa Cooper, and lawyer Rafael MacKay.
