Carey assists Nestlé in La Fête Chocolat acquisition
Carey has steered the multinational food corporation on the purchase of the Chilean manufacturer and retailer company
La Fête is a Chilean company that produces premium chocolates and has over 40 sale points throughout the country and an online store.
La Fête Chocolat is a company that has more than 400 employees between the factory and the office. This investment will strengthen the presence of Nestlé in the category of premium chocolates that seek to offer top quality products and a complete experience around the chocolate to the consumer. This transaction is an unprecedented operation for Nestlé, as the Swiss company is a manufacturer and not an operator of commercial premises.
Carey team was led by partner Cristián Figueroa (pictured), and involved associates Angélica De la Carrera, Ignacio Valenzuela, and Vicente Güell.
Vicuña Abogados acted as legal counsel to the target company with a team led by partner Rafael Vicuña.
Nestlé in-house lawyer Jason Moser, and Nestlé Chile in-house lawyer Andrés Eyzaguirre took part also on the transaction.
