Carey counsels Bank of Nova Scotia on Lundin Mining loan
Chilean law firm Carey has acted as adviser to the Bank of Nova Scotia on a revolving term credit facility for up to $800 million for Lundin Mining Corporation and Lundin Mining AB.
Lundin Mining Corporation is a mining company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with operations in the United States, Sweden, Portugal, Brazil, and Chile.
In Chile it has an 80-per cent stake in the the Candelaria Copper Mining complex in the Atacama region, which comprises two adjacent copper mining operations, Candelaria and Ojos del Salado, that produce copper concentrates from an open pit and underground mines.
Carey’s partner Felipe Moro (pictured) and associates Fernando Noriega and Nadia Jara led the firm’s team advising the lender.
