Carey counsels Inversiones MPD on Comulsa Group share sale
Chilean law firm Carey has advised Inversiones MPD on the sale of its shares in Comulsa Group to SICAME, a French company that supplies accessories and services to the electricity transmission and distribution sector.
The advice provided included drafting and negotiating a share purchase agreement, as well as all its ancillary contracts and documents, Carey said.
Comulsa Group is a Chilean distributor of electrical products which also has operations in Peru and Colombia.
The entry of a foreign company into the local market of electrical products required a transition in the management of the acquired companies as well as the compromise of different family interests, Carey said.
Carey’s team was led by partners Jorge Ugarte (pictured) and Francisca Corti, with associates Luciano Aguilera, Constanza Trisotti, Camila Mandiola, and Domingo Russi.
