Carey counsels Mainstream on $580m renewables portfolio financing

Law firm Carey has counselled Mainstream Renewable Power Chile, through its subsidiary Cóndor Energía, on a financing for approximately $580 million granted by a series of banks for the development and construction of the Cóndor renewble energy portfolio.

felipe moro of CareyThe banks providing the financing are CaixaBank, DNB, KfW IPEX-Bank, Natixis, SMBC and Société Generale.

The Cóndor portfolio comprises three wind farms and one solar plant in Chile, and includes the construction of transmission lines, electrical substations and switchyard substations.

Carey’s team advising Mainstream featured partners Felipe Moro (pictured) and Juan Francisco Mackenna, and associates Loreto Ribera, Fernando Noriega, Sophia Bobadilla, Julio Recordon, Manuel Garcés, Esteban Fresno and Rafael Mackay.
