Carey y Cía. has advised Screen Capital on the first investment of its new portfolio in StoryA’s Series A financing round
Chilean law firm Carey y Cía. has counselled the early-stage investment fund Screen One on the first investment of its new portfolio in the Series A financing round of StoryA, a company dedicated to the production and development of audiovisual projects.
Screen One is the first fund of the administrator Screen Capital and its focus is audiovisual content for streaming platforms with international reach. This investment allows it to seek out top-tier international projects. StoryA offers its experience and networks to producers, connecting content with global distribution networks. The project involves Ángel Zambrano, former head of content for Turner in Latin America; and Rodrigo Flores, former executive producer of Efe3 Producciones and executive producer of series for HBO, Mega and Fox.
This transaction, closed on 19 November, also involved the participation of Prieto Abogados as advisors to Condeco Corporation and Ángel Zambrano.
Prieto Abogados’ team consisted of partner Federico Rodríguez and associate Magdalena Steinmetz.
