Carey counsels Teleo on acquisition of TechRules

Carey has counselled Teleo Capital on the acquisition of TechRules, a provider of global wealth management software solutions.

This transaction was closed on 13 June, involving the jurisdictions of Spain, Peru and Chile.

Rodrigo Elías & Medrano, Troutman Pepper, and Pérez-Llorca acted as advisors to Teleo in Peru, the United States and Spain, respectively, while Baker McKenzie advised TechRules in Spain.

The advice included a due diligence of the Chilean target entity in less than two days, including reporting, as well as assurance of representations and warranties, and participation in meetings and completion of questionnaires conducted in conjunction with the insurance company.

Pérez-Llorca’s team included partners Marcel Enrich, Norma Peña and Andy Ramos, and associates Jesús García, Andrés López, Marta Viaplana, Ignasi Montesinos, Álvaro Martínez-Crespo, María Chávarri, Marta Salamanca and Candela Calahorra.

Rodrigo Elías & Medrano’s team was led by partner Luis Enrique Palacios, assisted by associate Sebastián Briceño.

Troutman Pepper’s team was comprised of partners Todd Boylan and James Rosener, along with associate Samantha Peruto.

Baker McKenzie was represented by partner Enrique Valera and associate Javier Méndez.
