Carey instructed by PPI on acqusition of Chilean manufacturing company

US-headquartered Precision, Pulley & Idler (PPI) was advised by Carey on its acquisition of Clark Ingeniería y Desarrollo, a conveyor component manufacturer in Chile.

The deal, of disclosed value, marks the first acquisition by PPI of production facilities outside its home market. Iowa-based PPI is a manufacturer of components for conveyor systems.

Partner Guillermo Acuña led the Carey team acting for PPI, which also retained Iowa law firm Brown, Winick, Graves, Gross, Baskerville and Schoenebaum as US counsel.

The sellers, Clark Ingeniería y Desarrollo, instructed Bahamondez, Álvarez y Zegers in Chile.
