Carey represents Continental Grain in acquisition of Agroberries
Carey has counselled Continental Grain on the purchase of a stake in Chilean agricultural company Agroberries
Carey has represented Continental Grain in the due diligence, structuring and negotiation for the acquisition of a stake in Agroberries, a Chilean agricultural company with operations in Chile, Peru, Mexico, the United States and Argentina. Carey coordinated the due diligence for all of these jurisdictions.
In this transaction, which closed on 18 January, Beccar Varela; Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez; Rodrigo, Elías & Medrano – Estudio Rodrigo; Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt; and Kirkland & Ellis also acted as advisors to Continental Grain in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and the United States respectively. Barros Silva Varela & Vigil also acted as advisor to Agroberries in Chile.
Agroberries markets more than 50,000 tons of berries per year to customers in North America and Europe.
