Carey represents Manutara Ventures in investment in Fracción

Carey has represented Manutara Ventures, through its Founders Fund, in a US$5 million investment in the start-up Fracción, including several investors.

This transaction closed on 30 November. Prieto Abogados acted as advisor to Fracción.

The Founders Fund is Manutara’s second fund focused on blockchain technologies, Saas, Biotech, HealthTech, Wellness, FoodTech, among others.

Fracción is an impact start-up dedicated to the fractionation of medicines, allowing its customers to purchase them in specific doses and fair prices. It operates as a 100% online platform and has partnered with independent pharmacies.

Prieto’s team was composed of partner Patricio Prieto, counsel Maite Larrañaga, and associate Alessandro Bizzarri.

Carey’s team was led by partner Francisco Guzmán (pictured) and associate Carolina Miller.
