Carey steers Codelco on notes issuance
Carey Abogados has acted as legal counsel on Chilean jurisdiction to Codelco
Carey advised as Chilean counsel to Codelco on the issuance and sale of notes for $500 million, under Rule 144 A / Reg S., at a 3.150% interest rate and due 2051.
Carey team was led by partners Diego Peralta (pictured left) and Manuel José Garcés (pictured right), and involved associates Paluska Solar, Antonio Dourthe, Fernanda Valdés and Kriss Andía.
Cleary Gottlieb acted as international counsel to Codelco with a team led by partner Duane McLaughlin, and which involved associate Andrés de Saro, and international lawyer Lara Gómez.
Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría acted as local counsel to the joint bookrunners with a team led by partner Marcelo Armas, and formed by associates Daniel Parodi, Santiago Mesías, and Macarena Soto.
Davis Polk & Wardwell intervened as international counsel to the joint bookrunners with a team formed by partner Nicholas Kronfeld, counsel Katia Brener, and associate Alexa Póo.
Codelco in-house lawyers Mauricio Álvarez, Diego Brieba, and Paula Medina also participated in the operation.
