Cariola appoints two new partners

Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos has announced the promotion to partners of María Paz de Carcer (pictured left) and Francisca Salas (pictured right), lawyers who stand out for being part of a generation younger than 40 years old, effective January 2025.

María Paz, 33, joined the firm in 2019 and works in the Tax Law area. Her experience focuses on the design and structuring of corporate tax and for high net worth individuals, as well as other advisory services in the field.

Francisca, 39, joined the firm in 2010 and is mainly dedicated to advising clients in corporate, civil, commercial, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.

As a result, the firm has increased its partners to 28, six of whom are women.

The firm also renewed its executive committee, which will be made up of six partners: Gerardo Varela, Andrea Saffie and Juan Pablo Matus, experts in mergers and acquisitions; Raimundo Moreno, a specialist in litigation and arbitration; Juan Pablo Egaña, a leading intellectual property lawyer; and Gonzalo Grez, an expert in mining law. In addition, Carlos Pérez-Cotapos, also a specialist in mining and natural resources, joins this group as part of his duties as managing partner.
